I'm so honored to be featured on Utterly Engaged, The 1st Wedding E-zine, mostly because they recognized the work that I've done with the Child Abuse Prevention Center and Society of St. Vincent De Paul Council of Los Angeles. These are charities with great causes and it's always great to bring exposure to them.

Utterly Engaged is a really cute e-magazine catered to brides with a goal of inspiring budget savvy brides with style. I'm on Issue #008 under big heart big talent.

San Juan Capistrano, California.

I always love photographing the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center's events, but this one was especially satisfying because it was held at the beautiful Mission San Juan Capistrano. This fundraiser is for a great cause and Suzanne Rico of CBS2 News was there to help.

One of my former clients asked if I would donate my services for a good cause and I was glad that I could find a day to go up to Santa Barbara with her.

The Circle V Ranch, owned and operated by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Council of Los Angeles, is a multifaceted camp whose mission is to serve impoverished and “at risk” children, youth and families from Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties by providing innovative and enriching outdoor experiences that build self esteem and expand knowledge and appreciation of others, nature and God. The Circle V Ranch is open to people of all beliefs

To be honest, I expected the camp to be a little chaotic due to the large number of inner city kids in one area. What I noticed was that the kids were so well-behaved. I expected that when a camp leader would try to gather a group of kids, the scene would be a little chaotic but that wasn't the case at all. The kids were compliant, cordial, and full of wonderful smiles. I'm not sure how the kids were before coming to camp, but I can see the appreciation for this opportunity towards the end of the week. It was quite a rewarding experience for me.

I usually don't bother with photo competitions, but this is for a good cause so... I'm entering images in the WedComp International Wedding Image Competition to benefit Thirst Relief International.



For you photographers out there: Get recognition. Help a cause.

The annual Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center Athletes and Aces Casino Night was held at the Island Hotel's Palm Garden in Newport Beach. The event is hosted by baseball great Robb Nenn and his wife Jendy, and includes many other athletes that contribute to such a great cause. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to shoot this event because it's a star-studded event and filled with fun.

The Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center asked me to shoot their Annual Charity Golf Classic at the Laguna Niguel Country Club. I really enjoy working with them because the people at the CAPC that put together the events are awesome and the cause speaks for itself. This event was a little more serious than the Jessica Erstad "Not So Serious" Women's Golf Outing that I covered last time, but it was still fun as always.




I think the golfer who got closest to the hole won a free lease to the car for a weekend.

I was asked to shoot The 4th Annual Jessica Erstad "Not So Serious" Women's Golf Outing benefiting the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center at the Black Gold Golf Club in Yorba Linda. The theme was "Christmas in June" complete with a Santa greeting guests. Jessica and the CAPC did such a great job with the event in raising money for the center. I am a big fan of these events because it is for a good cause.

The theme was "Spring Time in Paris," organized by the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center. It was a classy fund-raiser in Newport Beach to aid the battle against child abuse. I was more than happy to do my part in helping this organization. I started doing wedding photography because I had a passion for it, but to be able to use photography to help with a worthy cause is so satisfying.
