Yummy Chillz Yogurt

We went to visit our friends Jaime and Ace again at Chillz frozen yogurt in Rancho Santa Margarita to get a few more shots of their delicious yogurt. I love going there just to chit-chat with them, but getting to eat the sample fro-yo's is a nice bonus.

Here is the location:
31431 Santa Margarita Pkwy
Rancho Santa Margarita, CA 92688

Strawberry, with gummies and sprinkles.

Mango circled with raspberry and blackberry.

And the best part of this gig? Free yogurt!

Jaime hand-made us a super cute Christmas ornament. Check out the guy on the right, he has a camera hanging on his heck... that's me!

Monday

OC Metro Business

I was waiting for my take-out dinner and grabbed a copy of the OC Metro magazine to read. I like dark yellow, so my eyes were drawn to the cover. As I flipped through it, I saw a photo of Darin and Jessica Erstad. I told Sen, "Hey! That's my shot!" when I realized it was my photo that I took of them at the Athletes and Aces Casino Night for the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Center. It was just so random and fun to see.

The pretty yellow cover.

And the original photo of the cute couple.

Sunday

Glissel and Fernando in Santa Ana

Every couple that I photograph has a special chemistry between them, and it's always fun to try to capture it on camera. Spending the day with them, I found out that Fernando is a total gentleman with Glissel, and she is such a sweetheart to him. Glissel may seem quiet and shy, but you can see her open up with big smiles when she is with him. Before the ceremony, I got to spend a good amount of time with them for portraits. It was great to see how they compliment each other so well. I picked out just a few of my favorites from their wedding day.

You can tell how much he adores her just by the way he looks at her.

It's hard to tell here, but it was really windy and a challenge just to keep the veil from flying all over the place. The grass here is not photoshopped, it was really that green!

This is my favorite shot of the day. The rain was on and off the whole day, but it somehow always manages to stop just for my shoots.

The Santa Ana Train Depot was relatively empty so we sneaked in a few shots before the rain started again.

I love train tracks shots. Here, I love the dark yellow color and how she's holding up her dress.

The ring exchange. They were pretty nervous before the wedding, so I know that they released a lot of that energy at this moment.

Glissel's brother performed the song "You and Me" at this moment, so she became a little emotional and shed a few happy tears.

The guests blew bubbles as the bride and groom come out of the chapel.

At the reception site, we found this wall decor to place the rings on.

Wednesday

Steffanie and Ruben in Huntington Beach

We met Steffanie and Ruben over at Huntington Beach near the Hyatt Regency. I've been wanting to get some shots of a couple riding bikes, and as it turns out, they do that quite often there.

Ruben claims to be uncomfortable in front of the camera, but as you tell from these preview photos, he is very photogenic just like his gorgeous fiancee. He helped by making Steffanie laugh a lot, and you could tell they were having fun with the shoot. We really had a good time with them and we can't wait for their wedding in May.

At the popular tower in Huntington Beach. The blue sky serves as the perfect backdrop for the white tower.

We found this shaded area for them to get a little intimate.

They look so good together.

Love the smiles here.

The Hyatt Regency is such a pretty place for photos. These flowers are so cute and colorful.

We loved this wall as soon as we spotted it. Steffanie grew up just a couple of blocks away and said, "I never realized there were so many nice places for photos here!"

You can see their bikes in the background.

Even though they each had a bike, we thought it'd be cuter to have him give her a ride.

The sun was starting to set. You can see how soft the light was.

Another nice wall to shoot against.

Steffanie saw these boards and wanted to get a shot of themselves in front of their respective national flags. Sometimes, our clients come up with the great ideas!

Steffanie has the most gorgeous green eyes. Her shirt and the green grass complements them well.

Hard to beat the sunset on the Pacific coast.

Under the famous Huntington Beach pier.

I love how the photos turned out. Thanks for working through the freezing cold weather!

Monday

Dusky and Bobby at 7 Degrees Laguna Beach

Let me start off by saying that 7 Degrees in Laguna Beach is an awesome venue with its modern architecture, trendy ambiance, and great mood lighting. I'm so glad Dusky and Bobby picked this place for their wedding reception because it's a photogenic location and I think it was fitting of their style.

The night was pretty much a huge party with family and friends and it was a blast covering it. Dusky and Bobby are such a funny couple, I found myself laughing along with them all night.

The location, 7 Degrees.

Champagne awaited guests as they arrived in the front gallery.

Between the front gallery and the terrace where guests enjoyed cocktails, this is the ambient lighting that decorated the walls. Dusky is looking out the window as she gets ready.

Two gorgeous dresses hang as Dusky prepares.

Last minute touches to the hair.

Dusky is almost ready for their grand entrance. She poses for family.

Dusky thanks the make-up artist.

Dusky in her first dress.

Bobby, before noticing the camera and making sexy faces to it.

They are such a cute couple, always making each other laugh.

The first dance. Notice the awesome lighting. The colors change throughout the dance, which could be a nightmare for photos. But if caught right, the photo could be amazing.

Yet another color for the room.

This was the moment of the night for me, when he put on this cap to let everyone know who he was: Dusky's Dad.

You can see how much fun they were having.

Dusky danced a lot, often entertaining a crowd around her.

Bobby gets a mouthful as he reaches for the garter.

At the end of the night, guests held sparklers as Dusky and Bobby walks through. It was an exciting finish to an amazing reception.
