Helen and Dave's Engagement Session at UCLA

Los Angeles, California.

Helen and Dave was my first shoot in 2009 because I took the entire month of January off for my baby. We had so much fun because not only are they one of the nicest couples ever, but they also both went to UCLA at the same time I did so we were sharing stories of our time there. Dave was one of the ushers for Kathy and Steve's wedding so he was familiar with how I worked, and Kathy and Steve had also recommended me. I take it as a huge compliment when one of my past clients refer me to their good friends because it truly shows that they were happy with my work.

After all our combined years at UCLA, you'd think that Dave and I would have spent some time at the beautiful botanical gardens. As a matter of fact, this was the first time inside for both of us.

Bamboo trees in the background, and petals on the ground.

Dave had some ideas he wanted to try and this was one of them. I love how well they pulled it off.

My favorite shot of the day. Thanks for agreeing to risk your lives for this shot, Helen and Dave =) Right beyond that ledge is a two or three story drop.

Another one of Dave's great ideas.

I wanted to let people know that these were shot at UCLA but avoid being too cliche. This is the backside of the Royce Hall, which is regarded as the symbol of UCLA.
